I absolutely die for Twiggy. She was not only the more adorable and chic supermodel (in my opinion) but also to this day Twiggy is as equally gorgeous as she was during her modeling days. I have been taking classes this summer for a business minor and have been incredibly busy so here is a short photo montage while I slave away. Longer posts to come :)
"Whether you're thin, fat, small, dark, blond, redhead, you wanna be something else," said the world's first boldface supermodel. "I wanted a fairy godmother to make me look like Marilyn Monroe. I had no boobs, no hips, and I wanted it desperately." (quote from TODAY). This quote just shows that we all want something we don't have. Twiggy used what she had and set the trend for all those who too had her figure. As a result she became an icon. #lovewhatyouhave
Hey,
ReplyDeleteOkay, this thing is quiet old and apparantly you've stopped blogging and my english isn't really the best, but I would like to say something: I don't think that Twiggy's a good icon. She was "The first lean model" (I hope Google Translater's right), she weighed only 41 kg at 1. 72 m. Many teenage girls and woman, too, started being lean addicted (Don't let me down, Google) because they thaught her body was normal. The "age of the anorexia" started with her, before this popularity, the average weight of women was the beauty symbol.
To sum up: I have nothing against this person but against this what she has turned on in the heads of the women.
Please don't think I simply wanted to improve you at all costs, I just wanted to get rid of my thoughts to this.
Greets from Germany (No, I'm not a nazi.)
and sorry for my bad english, once again!
